To touch on the first theory a bit, I think there is atleast one or two scientists throwing around the idea of a pill that can exponentially increase brain function. Much like what happens to Bradley Cooper in Limitless, this pill would allow you to soak up, comprehend, process, solve, etc. information at an alarming rate. Think flipping through a novel like cartoon flip book and taking in everything on its pages. Can you imagine what this type of drug could do?
The second theory is about individuals who can do this (to a certain extent) without the help of a drug at all. There's a reason why Michael Jordan is the best basketball player to have ever lived. Sure, you can call it practice, and I'm not taking away anything from how hard Mr. Jordan may have worked, but have you ever gone back and watched him play? Really watched him play. The basketball just does amazing things in that man's hands. He just gets the game. That was just one example though. I think there are many types of people who can do this on many different levels with many different situations.
I've met some (few) people in my life that are just incredible at their jobs, and it seems to come to them so easily. It seemingly takes no effort for them to surpass expectations at every aspect of it. They've found their niche and it takes off for them. Think Matt Damon in the the 'Bourne' series. Of course like I said earlier, these people are few and far between, because there's also people I've met that don't seem to have a brain at all.
Now some of my readers (I don't judge) may say that marijuana could be considered the drug that was mentioned above based on creativity and artistry. In my opinion, that's your opinion.
Clearly there's some dumbass people on this planet. But on the other end of the spectrum, could there actually be individuals like this, smart enough to maximize brain activity? Are the pharmaceutical companies campaigning research on a drug that can do this? (They have to be, the money hungry bastards). We will have to wait and see. In the mean time, check out 'Limitless', it was amazing. And make sure you catch the premier of 'Alphas' on Syfy July 11th. And leave me some love in the comments below!

(P.S. my roommate just turned me on to a new show the USA Network called 'Suits' that is based on a brilliant college-dropout who stumbles onto an associates position in a high profile law firm due to his ability to excel at whatever he sets his mind to.. Anyone see a trend here?... this is catching on.)
